Michigan Captures Back-to-Back Midwest Tennis on Campus Championships

32 teams descended upon Madison, WI for the Midwest Tennis on Campus Championships, where seven teams sealed a bid to Tennis on Campus National Championship April 13-15 in Orlando, Florida. The University of Michigan took the title after knocking off Wisconsin 25-18 in the Finals. It marks the Wolverines' fourth Midwest title in the last five years. Illinois finished third, while Miami placed fourth.

Joining that quartet at Nationals will be Notre Dame who finished fifth, as well as DePaul who was named the Midwest Tennis on Campus Club Team of the Year. Tournament newbie Kent State University also sealed a bid to Nationals after being named the Sportsmanship winner for the tournament. Also taking home tournament honors was UW-Milwaukee captain Maria Zompolas, who was named the Midwest Tennis on Campus Club Leader of the Year.
